WHOLE HEART PRIORITIES

Since 1994, Whole Heart Ministries has traveled many roads on its mission to help Christian parents. As a family-run nonprofit Christian faith ministry, we have poured our lives and energy into ministry priorities, initiatives, and projects that are important to us. Our goal has always been to be a better ministry, not a bigger one. The priorities below are the kinds of ministry activities we engage in to reach and help Christian parents.

PUBLISHING

Our vision for Whole Heart from the very start was to conceive, write, and publish books and resources to help Christian parents. We wanted to create a “ministry in print,” which also now includes digital publishing. We also work with other publishers, but Whole Heart continues to grow its own publishing ministry. We are always conceiving, planning, and writing new books and resources to publish through Whole Heart Press.

EVENTS

From the start, we also offered workshops to help Christian parents up close and personal. Soon, that grew into WholeHearted Mother Conferences and Mom Heart Conferences that touched thousands of moms 1998-2016, and then the Renew My Heart Getaway in 2017, our final year of conference ministry. Although we no longer will offer regular, annual events, we will continue to offer special events as we can.

ONLINE

We are committed to building a strategic online ministry for Whole Heart. Through the growth of Sally's blogging and podcast ministries, her "Life with Sally" online course, ministry-driven websites, and a variety of online media (on-demand and streaming audio and video, webinars, and more), God is opening digital doors to enable us to reach a new generation of connected parents online nationally and internationally.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media has become a new kind of communal experience that did not exist until our generation. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and others are now daily digital meeting and browsing places for hundreds of millions of people. And as large as it seems now, social media is still in its infancy. At Whole Heart, we simply want to be a part of that world so we can speak into it and serve parents through it.

TRAINING

Our most strategic ministry priority is training others to minister. We train to cultivate movements, not to build an organization. We train parents to influence, nurture, disciple, instruct, and discipline their children to become wholehearted leaders for Christ. We train mothers to start Mom Heart small groups to reach and influence other mothers for Christ. Training is the heart of Whole Heart.

MINISTRY TEAMS

We are just one family with a vision. We need other people who share our hearts for this ministry to help us accomplish our vision. One of our priorities is developing a national ministry leadership team, as well as regional ministry teams, to help us implement our key initiatives. We also have ministry partners to support us financially and in other ways. Teamwork and partnership are key priorities of this ministry.
