England Bound

Well, it's probably no surprise to those who know me well, but I'm off to England... again! The good news about that is that I'm going to be collecting all sorts of lovely literary things to post here.

For starters, I'll be attending the C.S. Lewis Foundation's Oxbridge Institute, an event that only happens every three years. With a theme of "Reclaiming the Virtues," and speakers addressing it from various artistic, educational, or theological points of view, I know the conference will be rich in ideas and resources. I'll be sharing a good bit of what I learn here.

Then, I'll actually be staying in the farmhouse that inspired Arthur Ransome's beloved children's book series of "Swallows and Amazons," set in the English Lake District. I'll be posting pictures. And adventures.

And... I might even get a picture or ten of the famous Oxford pub where the Inklings met to read aloud portions of what would become some of the best beloved fantastical classics of our time.

So check back here often, because I'll be posting as I go. England is always rich for those with a taste for story.
